Just curious to all those who have me on their watch list, is anybody still here? It's been a long while since Sheezy turned anal against porn posting and with my recent postings getting no fav's or comments I'm curious if anybody is still alive on this thing, or because most of my watchers were furries they turned to FurAffinity.
You and so many other people my friend. Which album do you own now? I'm going to guess and say DCA. And did you hear they're going to be remaking their old album, Stormblast?
I figured it was DCA, since that seems like their bigger album out right now. I have a couple versions of it really. A regular one, the special Ozzfest edition (also autographed by Galder, Mustis and Vortex when I met them at Ozzfest), and a art journal edition I have in the coming mail.
Not bad. I'd spend some more time and add shading, though. I have the same problem of not being able to draw worth crap...heh. And a fellow guitarist too! That looks like quite a setup you've got there.
Yeah, see. I'd add more shading, but my problem is, I don't know where to add it. I look at the image all the time and can never see how the anatomy of shades and highlights would correctly be.
And that's not my picture. That's Shagrath of Dimmu Borgir (Norweigan metal band). I have been meaning to pick up a guitar and learn though, since I've kind of been air guitaring everytime I listen to something.
You basically just pick a direction for the main light source and shade anything on the opposite side of it. If the light is coming from all directions, then you don't really have to worry about that. Then, anything that is potruding (like the middle of a leg) is highlighted and anything that is farther back (like the sides of the leg) are shaded. Finally, you shade anything that casts a natural shadow, such as the head on the neck. Looking at some RL photos with interesting lighting is a good way to get a feel for it. And you don't need to do much of it to make a picture look better. It takes practice. I don't have it mastered myself yet either.
